A few days after the iOS version, Mortal Kombat X should arrive soon on Android. This is mobile version of the eponymous game released few weeks on video games consoles but with a simplified gameplay comparing to its antecedents.

Mortal Kombat X

We will not explain you what is Mortal Kombat, you certainly know all the famous fighting game with bloody fatalities. In its mobile version, Mortal Kombat X which features new gameplay elements comes after Injustice and WWE Immortals, released by NetherRealm Studios between the end of last year and the beginning of the year. As for good sides. The graphics, for example, are frankly successful and could be compared to the console version (Mortal Kombat X on PS4). Mortal Kombat X also inherits the fighting system from previous games. Understand that the player does not control one but three fighters that may involve at will during the fighting and that the controls are based on swipes left and right and very precise management of a power bar to trigger special moves. In other words, there is no real surprise, and after a very comprehensive WWE 2K or EA Sports UFC, it appears somehow hollow.

If Mortal Kombat X includes a multiplayer mode, it is mainly the story mode (solo) that proves the most interesting, which is followed by a summary field and allow improvement to the team of three characters in terms of fighting force in the more or less balanced difficulty.

The story mode will then allow looting gold and souls considered as ingame currency to buy and improve characters but also to recharge necessary energy bar to progress through the single player campaign. And as anyone can easily guess, gold and souls are exchanged against some real dollars in the ingame shop of the game.

MortalKombat X

Mortal Kombat X is free to download but packed with in-app purchases. Most tests seen here and there on the net insist that it is necessary to grind gold coins to progress through the single player campaign, which makes the game boring quickly. Fans of the series may however be seduced. Finally note that the application appeared recently on the Play Store but only available in French for now. It should logically be released within a few days.
