The 30th June was definitely rich in novelties. After the Honor, Meizu formalized its latest high-end device, the Meizu MX5. In accordance to the teasers, it comes with a design 100% metal very similar to the iPhone 6 Plus, the technical specs are very interesting since the device is equipped with a large Super AMOLED screen 5.5 inch Full HD and a 20 megapixel camera sensor with laser autofocus.
For the performances, the smartphone counts on a MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) processor. A chip composed of eight cores and based on a 64 bit architecture. This will be accompanied by a PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
The Sony IMX220 camera of 20.7 megapixels is the same found in the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact but with laser autofocus. With this new feature, Meizu promises a reactivity time of 0.2 milliseconds. For selfies, we will find a front camera of 5 megapixels.
The 3150 mAh battery supports the “mCharge” technology for rapid charging, allowing to charge up to 25% in just 10 minutes and 50% within 20 minutes.
On the Chinese market, the device will be priced at:
