During the Computex, Asus announced the upcoming release of a smartphone dedicated to selfies and a tablet with 4 GB of RAM.
On the occasion of Computex 2015 in Taiwan, Asus announced several new products, including a smartphone and a tablet running both under Android.
A Taiwanese manufacturer that launches a selfie phone, does it remind you of anything?
Indeed, like HTC Desire and its Eye, Asus also surfs on the fashion of the self-portrait with the Zenphone Selfie. The name leaves no doubt that it’s a mobile featuring a 13-megapixel front camera accompanied by a LED flash, a laser autofocus and a retractable stand.
It is an 5.5-inch LCD IPS display with Full HD and a Snapdragon 615 processor by Qualcomm 2 x 4 cores (clocked at 1.7 GHz and 1). Available with 16 or 32 GB with microSD slot and 2GB of RAM. No press release about pricing yet.
Asus tablet with a huge RAM
The second announcement from Asus at Computex was the Zenpad S, the first tablet to with 4GB of RAM.
This 8-inch 4:3 format runs under Android 5.0. It disposes of an IPS panel display 2048 by 1536 pixels, an Intel Atom 3580 Moorefield processor clocked at quad-core 2.3 GHz and a PowerVR G6430 GPU, it also features 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage up to 128 GB microSD, a Power Case that offers up to 15 hours of talk time and a stylus with 1024 levels of pressure.
However, we still do not know the prices or the release dates.
